Job Description

SUMMARY:
Assist Compliance Program with audits/reviews, creating assessment and training tools; gathering data and compiling findings; and providing Compliance related training to CSMD's workforce. Works under the supervision of CareSouth's Compliance Officer to help the agency meet and exceed regulatory obligations .

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge and understanding of Employee Handbook. Carry out the meaning of the CSMD Mission and Vision statements. Practice a culture of safety to reduce or prevent risk of injury, claims, loss, or liability by utilizing the Risk Management, the Infection Control Plan and other Management Plans. Perform responsibilities with a high-quality standard to yield improved compliance, quality, and patient outcome measures by adhering to the Quality Improvement Plan. Be present and ready for work as scheduled. Attend in-service trainings, departmental meetings, and community events as assigned. Work cohesively with team members. Assist the Compliance Officer/Compliance Manager with the collection and evaluation of written data; and reports for regulatory bodies. As necessary, assist with revising Compliance Program material to meet changing needs of the organization. Help manage compliance issues received via email, phone and/or in person when needed. Appropriately answer questions and educate workforce on compliance matters (e.g., internal policies and procedures, organization and HRSA Compliance Manual(s), Operational Procedures, HRSA Program Requirements, and other regulatory requirements, etc.) Assist with compliance risk assessment training. As needed, assist with document requests, procedure changes, and other CareSouth projects. Audit and monitor data, systems, and processes for compliance to policies, regulations, and laws in accordance with established procedures. Study and gain expertise in legal requirements at all government levels regarding compliance related issues regarding CareSouth activities. Collect internal compliance data and analyzes it to identify potential issues. Apply and interpret audit and compliance requirements for various departments. When required, provide support to departments in correcting compliance issues. As needed, participate in various company technical committees, and assist in interpreting regulations to resolve organizational and operations' issues and attend staff meetings. Assist as required, in the creation, review, management, and implementation of internal policies, protocols, forms and tools and program requirements established by the agencies that regulate CareSouth operations. Report findings to management as required. Assist with Emergency Management and Preparedness tasks and assignments . Ensures adherence to organization, OSHA and other designated governing bodies related to workplace safety. Follows established federal, state, and local policies, procedures and programs relating to health and safety in the workplace. As required, assist with data gathering and analysis for legal purposes. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Health Care, Business, Public Health, Public Administration, or related field Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in a Compliance role (essential). Confident, professional, and self-motivated with a keen interest in the ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements in healthcare. Working knowledge of compliance issues. Integrity and professional ethics. Outstanding presentation, writing and verbal communication abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with superior problem-solving skills Ability to foster strong professional relationships. Ability to multitask, manage and prioritize work. Works comfortably under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines. Ability to work independently after receiving instructions. Highly computer literate. Microsoft Office competency. Possess reliable transportation and willing to travel as required.
