Under the direction of the Registrar, this position carries out compliance functions, with particular emphasis on enrollment reporting and athletic eligibility. Position Accountabilities Work closely with Registrar to compile, review, analyze, and update student enrollment data to ensure data integrity; submit enrollment reports including enrollment statuses and effective dates, program data, and student demographic information, to National Student Clearinghouse per Department of Education guidelines. Investigate and resolve anomalies and make corrections to report and source data, when applicable. Test any report/data updates for accuracy as federal requirements change. Respond to National Student Loan Database System SSCR reports/data requests. Review all flagged records, research issues, and update records or follow up with students, as needed. Monitor, update, and disseminate data on effective dates for course and session drops/withdrawals based on evidence including academic activity, data logs, and related documentation. Disseminate reports to stakeholders, particularly Financial Aid and VA School Certifying Officials, to ensure consistency across departments and to lay firm foundation for relevant aspects of VA and Title IV compliance audits. Assess athletic eligibility for student athletes in accordance with rules and regulations of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and Park University. In collaboration with the Athletic Director, Faculty Athletic Representative, and Coaches, ensure that athletes meet eligibility requirements for initial and continuing participation each semester. Review high school and college transcripts, NAIA records, and test scores or other documents, to determine eligibility. Alert coaches and athletic staff of eligibility-related issues that may delay or prevent athletic certification. Record, collect, and submit eligibility rosters to NAIA. Assist coaches, athletics staff, and students regarding eligibility. Submit transcripts of current Park students to NAIA Eligibility Center. Collaborate with OIRA and athletic departments to compile and disseminate individual and team athletic data to stakeholders for purposes such as NAIA scholar athlete and scholar team awards. Collaborate with Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, Accounting, and Warrior Center to evaluate requests for retroactive withdrawals and determine effective dates based on medical, deployment, or other documentation, in accordance with the federal regulations and university policy. Execute administrative withdrawal process, including sending of communication and reports to stakeholders, assessing enrollment and participation records, and processing batch/individual withdrawals. Provide customer service to students and faculty/staff, including responding to phone calls and email inquiries. Assist with office priorities, including transcripts fulfillment, enrollment/degree verification, grading, graduation and degree checks, and course scheduling. Maintain accurate records of programs offered at all campus centers and locations to assist with state reporting. Assist with office projects.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required. Previous higher education experience required. 2 years related experience. Strong proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel to analyze large data sets. Experience with Jenzabar or an SIS preferred. Detail oriented. Strong analytical skills. Ability to interpret and apply complex rules and regulations. Effective communication skills. Solid judgment, particularly with regard to enforcement of policy and regulations.
