Job DescriptionWe're looking for a detail-oriented and organized Senior Coordinator for Research Compliance-Bioresources to join our team in Detroit, United States. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between research teams, institutional leadership, and regulatory bodies, ensuring that all bioresources operations maintain the highest standards of compliance and ethical conduct. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, a thorough understanding of research compliance frameworks, and a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and regulatory adherence.

Coordinate and oversee compliance activities related to bioresources management, including animal care, tissue banking, and biological specimen handlingDevelop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) aligned with federal, state, and institutional regulatory requirementsPrepare and submit regulatory documentation, reports, and applications to oversight bodies such as IACUC, Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), and other relevant agenciesConduct compliance audits and assessments to identify gaps and recommend corrective actionsMaintain comprehensive records and databases related to bioresources protocols, approvals, and ongoing compliance activitiesServe as a primary point of contact for research teams regarding compliance requirements and best practicesCoordinate training programs and educational sessions on compliance policies and procedures for research staffMonitor changes in regulatory requirements and communicate updates to relevant stakeholdersPrepare materials for institutional review meetings and compliance presentationsCollaborate with research coordinators, principal investigators, and administrative staff to ensure seamless compliance operationsAnalyze compliance data and generate reports to support continuous improvement initiativesQualificationsMinimum 3-5 years of experience in research compliance, bioresources management, or related regulatory fieldDemonstrated knowledge of federal and institutional research compliance regulations (USDA, NIH, FDA guidelines)Strong proficiency with documentation systems and laboratory information management systems (LIMS)Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex compliance requirements clearlyAdvanced organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyProficiency in data analysis and the ability to generate comprehensive compliance reportsExperience with IACUC protocols and animal care standards (preferred)Knowledge of biosafety protocols and biohazard handling procedures (preferred)Experience with grant management and regulatory submissions (preferred)Audit preparation and quality assurance experience (preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database managementStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all documentationAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentProfessional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills
