Job Description
Peninsula Fiber Network, LLC (PFN) , a growing fiber optic telecommunications company headquartered in Marquette, Michigan , is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Regulatory Specialist . This position supports PFN's regulatory compliance, reporting, and filing activities. You will prepare and track submissions, maintain compliance deadlines, support telecommunications cost studies, and help ensure filings are completed accurately and on time. What You'll Do Prepare, submit, and track regulatory filings, reports, notices, and supporting documents. Maintain compliance calendars, deadlines, filing schedules, and regulatory records. Compile, analyze, reconcile, and verify financial, operational, and compliance-related data. Support filings with the FCC, state utility commissions, and telecommunications organizations. Assist with cost studies, NG911 reporting, and other regulatory requirements. Monitor agency correspondence, filing portals, notices, and regulatory updates. Coordinate with internal teams, affiliated companies, consultants, and regulatory agencies. Communicate deadlines, submission statuses, outstanding requirements, and data needs. Maintain accurate electronic records and help improve regulatory processes. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other business software. Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and changing priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to review and reconcile complex information accurately. Ability to work collaboratively and handle confidential information professionally. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, legal studies, public administration, telecommunications, or a related field. Experience in telecommunications, utilities, regulatory compliance, accounting, finance, legal support, government, or regulatory reporting. Experience with cost studies, agency filings, regulatory reports, or online filing portals. Work Environment This is a full-time position based in PFN's Marquette office or another approved work location, depending on business needs and candidate qualifications.
