Job Description

Key Responsibilities Manage export compliance activities in alignment with applicable U.S. regulations, including: U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) U.S. Customs regulations Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements Classify products, components, and technical data in accordance with EAR and ITAR guidelines. Prepare, review, and validate export documentation such as: Commercial invoices Shipper's Export Declarations (SED/EEI) Bills of lading Certificates of origin Coordinate export license applications and ensure adherence to license provisos and conditions. Perform restricted party screenings and maintain audit-ready compliance records. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, contracts, and program management teams to ensure compliant international shipments. Support internal and external compliance audits and regulatory reviews. Maintain export documentation in accordance with regulatory record retention requirements. Deliver guidance and training to internal stakeholders on trade compliance policies and procedures. Identify, assess, and mitigate potential export compliance risks.
Required Qualifications Mandatory Certification:
Export Customs Specialist Certificate or Export Specialist Certificate 3-7 years of experience in export compliance, customs administration, or trade compliance within aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environments. Strong working knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulations. Experience with ERP systems and export compliance software. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting defense contracts or handling controlled technical data. Familiarity with Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications. Experience participating in government audits or voluntary disclosures. Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Certified Export Specialist designation preferred.
