Grant Compliance SpecialistSouthern Regional OfficeDucks Unlimited, Inc., the worlds leader in wetlands and waterfowl conservation, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Grant Compliance Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of conservation professionals furthering DUs conservation efforts across thirteen states. This full-time position will work with a team to conserve, restore, and manage wetlands and associated habitats for North Americas waterfowl, wildlife, and people. We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative individual with strong analytical and quantitative skills. This position will be based in our Ridgeland, MS office.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Work with teams of biologists and engineers to deliver wetland projectsMonitor compliance with government grants and contracts for financial, administrative, and technical requirements, including budgeting, invoicing, financial and progress reporting, audit, records, and closeoutTrack funding source budgets/balances, develop A/R invoices to funding sources on a cost reimbursement basis, keep the teams informed of project cost and income statusFacilitate processing of accounts payables and labor reportingProvide oversight of staff timesheets & expense reports, tracking these costs against the project budgetsDocument scanning and control, maintaining project documentation in a standardized and organized mannerAdhere to government and internal Procurement regulations Coordinate contract development and implementation, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements, review and commentary, approval, and dissemination Perform various administrative tasks as needed
Key Qualities, Skills, and Knowledge:
Bachelors degree in business administration, Accounting or a related field preferred Knowledge of federal and/or state grants, direct experience desiredStrong written and oral communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelExperience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferredWell-organized and detail-orientedSelf-motivated, lots of initiative, eager to learn, able to work with minimal supervision, but willing to ask questions and seek direction if neededAble to maintain a professional demeanor while working within tight deadlines with a variety of people and personalities

Salary will be based on experience and education.
