Full-Time Resident Compliance Specialist Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Resident Compliance Specialist to support a residential property in Bayonne, NJ. This position is ideal for a professional with experience in affordable housing, subsidized housing, resident recertification, compliance, Section 8, rental assistance programs, or property management. The Resident Compliance Specialist will be responsible for managing resident eligibility, certifications, recertifications, income verification, rent calculations, and compliance documentation while ensuring resident files remain accurate, complete, and audit-ready. Responsibilities Process certification and recertification files for new applicants and existing residents. Conduct resident interviews and collect required eligibility documentation. Verify income, assets, household composition, and other eligibility information. Complete accurate income and rent calculations. Track annual and interim recertification deadlines. Obtain third-party income, asset, employment, and eligibility verifications. Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready resident files. Monitor applicant information and affordable housing waiting lists. Prepare certification files for compliance review and audits. Identify and resolve missing documentation, discrepancies, and incomplete files. Coordinate inspections, occupancy activities, and resident documentation with property staff. Communicate professionally with residents, government agencies, vendors, and internal teams. Provide administrative and property management support as needed. Qualifications 3+ years of affordable housing, subsidized housing, recertification, resident compliance, or related property management experience preferred. Knowledge of affordable housing, rental assistance, and resident eligibility programs. Experience processing certifications and recertifications strongly preferred. Strong understanding of income verification, household eligibility, and compliance documentation. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to interpret regulations, policies, and compliance procedures. Strong communication and resident-service skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with property management or affordable housing compliance software preferred.
