COURT COMPLIANCE OFFICER

Job Summary Through interaction with Magistrate, Municipal and District courts, law enforcement agencies, community service agencies, mental health treatment providers and other community services, the Compliance Officer shall insure the extent to which referred offenders are in compliance with their judgment and sentence requirements for attending and completing court-ordered programs and treatments. The ideal candidate is experienced in managing a wide range of administrative and director support-related tasks and can work independently with minimal supervision. This person must be well organized, flexible, and able to uphold the mission and values of the DWI Program in every aspect of the work. The ability to maintain an elevated level of professionalism and confidentiality while interacting with internal and external stakeholders while remaining adaptable, proactive, resourceful, and efficient is crucial to this role. Work Environment Work is routinely performed under typical office conditions. Occasional travel by car is necessary. The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet. Work is subject to frequent fluctuations and is often performed in stressful situations. Minimum Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Associate degree in social work, Criminal Justice or related field preferred with 2 years' experience; OR 4 years' experience in a related field. May not have any DWI or DUI within the last five (5) years. Knowledge of approved principles and practices of law enforcement and applicable law and ordinances. Ability to deal courteously, yet firmly and effectively with individuals assigned to supervision, and report and record, legally and accurately, observations and situations. Must be bondable. Must have a valid New Mexico driver's license or obtain a valid New Mexico driver's license within six (6) months of employment. Pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background investigation. Effective communication skills and be able to write clearly and informatively, listen, get clarification and respond well to questions. Able to organize and prioritize work; use of time efficiently. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Most work hours are 8-5, M-F but are subject to change as required.
