Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Materials Compliance Coordinator to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee the adherence to quality and regulatory standards for materials used in our manufacturing processes. Your expertise will ensure that all incoming raw materials meet strict quality specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, supporting our mission to produce high-quality dough products safely and efficiently. Duties Coordinate the inspection and testing of raw materials using precision measurement tools such as height gauges, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure compliance with quality standards. Conduct comprehensive quality audits of suppliers' materials to verify adherence to
ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP
(Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA regulations, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and other relevant standards. Interpret manufacturing and production documents, mechanical blueprints, and technical drawings to verify material specifications and dimensional measurements. Utilize data collection methods and analysis skills to monitor quality metrics, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions promptly. Maintain accurate records of inspections, measurements, and audit findings in compliance with ISO standards and quality management systems. Collaborate with production teams to ensure quality control processes are integrated into daily operations and support continuous improvement initiatives. Support calibration activities for measuring instruments such as height gauges, GDT (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and vision systems to uphold measurement accuracy. Qualifications Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control within manufacturing environments, preferably in food or related industries. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and utilize measuring instruments like height gauges and coordinate measuring machines effectively. Familiarity with
ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP, FDA
regulations, HACCP standards, and regulatory/legal compliance requirements in production settings. Experience conducting quality audits using tools such as vision inspection systems and data analysis techniques. Excellent attention to detail with strong analysis skills for dimensional measurements and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Basic math skills combined with the ability to interpret complex technical documentation accurately. Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining a focus on compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.   • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in food science, quality, operations, supply chain, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, production, inventory control, continuous improvement, or a related environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of GMPs, sanitation, allergen control, lot traceability, product holds, nonconforming material, and controlled rework practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple open issues, priorities, owners, and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and communicate practical recommendations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn ERP, inventory, Quality, and reporting systems.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the confidence to escalate concerns.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and shifts while maintaining confidentiality and professional objectivity. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with frozen dough, bakery, refrigerated/frozen foods, or another regulated food-manufacturing environment.
  • Experience coordinating product holds, rework, yield improvement, waste reduction, or inventory reconciliation.
  • Training in HACCP, PCQI, SQF, internal auditing, Lean, Six Sigma, or structured root-cause analysis.
  • Experience preparing cost-benefit analyses, savings validation, dashboards, or management reports.
  • Bilingual communication skills relevant to the workforce are a plus. Competencies

  • Continuous-improvement orientation Physical and Work Environment Requirements The physical requirements should be confirmed through DeIorio Foods' normal job-analysis process.
The position is expected to require regular movement through production, warehouse, freezer, cooler, rework, and hold areas; standing and walking for extended periods; use of required personal protective equipment; work around food ingredients, allergens, machinery, noise, and temperature changes; computer and desk work; and occasional lifting or handling of materials within established company limits.
