Compliance Specialist - I

We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Specialist I to support regulatory compliance across an assigned portfolio of affordable housing properties. This role is responsible for processing certifications, conducting file reviews, and ensuring compliance with Section 8, LIHTC, HOME, and HTF program requirements. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and knowledgeable in affordable housing compliance, with a strong ability to manage documentation and meet deadlines. Occasional travel to properties may be required. Responsibilities Manage and track compliance file reviews for an assigned portfolio, including move-ins, annual and interim recertifications, gross rent changes, and other required certifications Conduct routine file audits to ensure full compliance with Section 8, LIHTC, HOME, and HTF program requirements Respond in a timely manner to compliance-related inquiries from Compliance, Asset Management, and Property Management teams Maintain accurate and well-organized tenant files in both electronic and hard copy formats Coordinate and manage property inspections by preparing documentation, assigning follow-up tasks, and ensuring timely completion and close-out Process HUD vouchers with a high level of accuracy and efficiency Stay current on compliance regulations by regularly reviewing program materials and updates

Schedule :

Monday-Friday, standard business hours

Hybrid Schedule:

Eligible for one (1) remote workday per week after successful completion of a 90-day probationary period.

Pay:

$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
