Job Description

We are looking for a compliance specialist to join our client's in-house legal and compliance team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This position works closely with counsel to support regulatory, contractual, and risk-related activities across the business while helping maintain organized, accurate, and confidential records. The role offers a hybrid schedule of four days in the office and one day working from home, and is well suited for someone who can balance analytical thinking with strong written communication.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with counsel to provide day-to-day support on compliance, legal, regulatory, and contract-related matters across the organization.
  • Prepare and refine written responses for consumer complaints, demand letters, subpoenas, investigations, and other sensitive matters requiring careful review.
  • Assist with disputes and pre-litigation matters by organizing case materials, coordinating document collection, tracking deadlines, and working with external legal partners when needed.
  • Contribute to corporate governance and regulatory efforts by maintaining records, supporting filings, and helping manage documentation tied to policies, approvals, and licensing activities.
  • Draft and revise contracts, agreements, disclosures, policies, correspondence, and related documents for attorney review and final approval.
  • Oversee contract administration tasks such as maintaining files, monitoring key dates, tracking obligations, routing agreements, and following up with internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct research on laws, regulations, agency guidance, and relevant legal developments, then summarize findings in a clear and practical format for attorneys and business leaders.
  • Support risk assessment efforts by helping evaluate legal, operational, and reputational considerations and identifying practical business-oriented options.
  • Maintain accurate legal and compliance trackers, files, databases, and matter records while handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Take ownership of special projects and provide broader team support as priorities shift.
