Goose Creek, SC Job Details Part-time $15 - $20 an hour 10 hours ago Qualifications Spreadsheets Filing High school diploma or GED Business Administration Associate's degree Full Job Description The Field Monitor / Nutrition Consultant is responsible for conducting monitoring reviews, technical assistance visits, provider training, startup visits, and compliance support activities for participating daycare homes and daycare centers enrolled in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). This position helps ensure providers remain compliant with USDA, CACFP, state agency, and organizational requirements by conducting monitoring reviews, reviewing documentation, providing technical assistance, and supporting providers with program operations and recordkeeping requirements.

Part Time Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMonitoring and Compliance Reviews Conduct monitoring reviews for assigned daycare homes and daycare centers in accordance with CACFP regulations and organizational policies. Develop and submit projected annual monitoring schedules. Coordinate announced visits with homes and centers when required. Conduct monitoring visits ranging from 30 to 90 minutes or longer as necessary. Submit completed monitoring reports and required documentation timely. Ensure providers and centers receive required announced and unannounced monitoring visits annually. Observe meal service during required monitoring visits. Conduct annual dinner observations for homes and centers serving dinner. Conduct weekend reviews for homes and centers operating on weekends. Complete pre approval visits for new providers and centers. Conduct 2 week reviews after startup and approval visits as required. Review attendance records, meal counts, enrollment forms, menus, and supporting documentation during monitoring visits. Verify enrollment forms match attendance records and roster information. Verify required documents are maintained including: Applications and agreements Licenses Income eligibility forms Civil Rights materials And Justice for All posters Building for the Future flyers Point of service meal counts Menus and attendance records Review recipes and CN labels as required for claim processing and meal compliance. Complete corrective action plans and summary findings forms when deficiencies are identified. Conduct follow up visits and corrective action monitoring as required. Ensure homes and centers have monitoring visits for the past 3 years and current fiscal year. Immediately report concerns involving child safety, abuse, neglect, fraud, or serious noncompliance to management. Technical Assistance and Provider Support Provide technical assistance to providers and centers regarding: CACFP recordkeeping Meal pattern requirements Menu compliance Enrollment documentation Attendance and meal count requirements Crediting and noncrediting foods Recipes and CN labels Corrective actions and compliance issues Assist providers with organization of CACFP documentation and records. Provide guidance regarding operational and programmatic corrections. Support providers with maintaining organized and compliant CACFP files. Startup and Onboarding Responsibilities Conduct pre approval review for new daycare homes and daycare centers. Explain CACFP program requirements, agreements, and recordkeeping procedures in detail.
Complete startup documentation including:
Pre operational forms Applications and agreements Licensing verification Tier determination documentation when applicable Provide startup packets and CACFP training materials. Conduct follow up phone calls and visits after startup approval. Observe meal service within the required startup timeframe. Conduct facility inspections during startup visits. Coordinate with office staff regarding NDL checks and startup approvals. Training and Education Attend sponsor trainings, staff meetings, conference calls, and state agency trainings as required. Conduct provider and center training activities as needed regarding: Policies and procedures CACFP agreements Crediting and noncrediting foods Recipes and CN labels Recordkeeping requirements Program compliance Menu evaluation procedures Assist with annual group training sessions and technical assistance workshops when assigned. Maintain communication with management regarding provider activities and compliance concerns. Administrative Duties Enter monitoring review information into kidkare timely. Maintain working files for assigned providers and centers. Collect racial and ethnic data during required monitoring visits. Submit payment requests, completed reviews, schedules, and required documentation timely each month. Assist with application amendments and documentation updates when necessary. Maintain organized records and documentation related to assigned caseloads. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Nutrition, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Experience in childcare, monitoring, compliance, nutrition programs, or customer service preferred. Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills required.
