Job Description

We are looking for a Loss Mitigation Specialist to support mortgage servicing activities for a Contract position based in Coppell, Texas. This role focuses on reviewing delinquent loan situations, assessing workout options, and helping ensure borrowers receive timely and accurate assistance. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of loss mitigation practices, careful attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive financial information in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Review borrower accounts to evaluate hardship circumstances and determine appropriate loss mitigation solutions within established guidelines.
  • Communicate with customers to gather required documentation, explain available assistance programs, and provide clear updates on application status.
  • Analyze financial information, payment history, and supporting records to support recommendation and decision-making on workout options.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and ensure all files are documented thoroughly to support compliance and audit readiness.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to move files through the review process efficiently and resolve outstanding items that may delay decisions.
  • Monitor assigned pipelines to keep applications progressing within service standards and follow up on missing or incomplete information.
  • Apply investor, insurer, and company requirements consistently when reviewing requests for payment relief or alternative repayment arrangements.
