Transportation & Logistics - About the Role Our firm is recruiting on behalf of a leading global logistics and supply chain solutions provider that supports international freight transportation, customs compliance, and global trade operations. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented and self-directed professional with strong problem-solving skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. As a Global Forwarding Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting international shipping operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. export regulations, and maintaining accurate shipment and export documentation. The position requires bilingual communication skills in both English and Spanish and offers the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams, customers, carriers, and regulatory agencies. Job Description Key Responsibilities Prepare and submit Automated Export System (AES) filings accurately and within required deadlines. Review export shipment documentation to ensure compliance with applicable U.S. export regulations. Verify commodity classifications, shipment values, quantities, and destination country information. Research and resolve filing discrepancies, shipment holds, and documentation errors. Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, transportation providers, and government agencies regarding export filing requirements. Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards. Monitor export transactions to ensure compliance with AES, Census Bureau, and Customs requirements. Support audits, reporting activities, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Escalate compliance concerns and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Support international shipping processes from purchase order through final cargo delivery. Assist internal teams and external partners with operational inquiries and issue resolution. Generate, file, and maintain shipment records, customer documentation, and operational reports. Provide shipment tracking and tracing support. Assist with delivery coordination, turnover activities, and backup support as needed. Perform load audits and support documentation collection and reporting efforts. Maintain customer data integrity and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Follow all applicable customer requirements, regulatory guidelines, and operational procedures. Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs. Qualifications Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. Fluency in both English and Spanish, including written and verbal communication. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, supply chain, export compliance, or a related field. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional phone etiquette. Effective time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
