Compliance Administrator

LOCATION
The Woodlands, TX (North Houston) FORMAT Full-time, On-site (Monday through Friday) Role purpose Support Global Edge's legal, regulatory and internal compliance obligations across its global operations. The Compliance Administrator coordinates compliance documentation and registrations, monitors regulatory requirements, supports audits and external inquiries, and works across functions to identify risks, maintain accurate records and help ensure the business remains compliant as it operates and expands internationally. What you'll own
  • Establish, maintain and monitor critical compliance and registration documentation across global operations.
  • Research tax, immigration, labor and other compliance requirements for new or existing locations.
  • Monitor adherence to internal policies, external regulations and legal requirements, escalating gaps or risks appropriately.
  • Track regulatory and legal changes and coordinate updates to relevant policies, procedures, registrations or business practices.
  • Prepare regular compliance reporting and support internal compliance audits, investigations and risk reviews.
  • Act as a coordination point for external regulatory agencies, auditors and other compliance partners, maintaining accurate records of communications and outcomes.
  • Support preparation for regulatory inspections, inquiries and external audits.
  • Maintain complete and current records of compliance activity, audits, registrations, regulatory correspondence and employee training.
  • Ensure company state profiles and related registration information remain accurate and up to date.
  • Identify compliance risks and work with department heads to support corrective actions and mitigation plans.
  • Assist with new compliance initiatives arising from regulatory changes, internal risk assessments or business expansion.
  • Support Directors and senior leaders with ad-hoc compliance, accounting, financial or administrative projects as required. What success looks like
  • Compliance registrations, records and critical documentation are accurate, current and easy to evidence.
  • Regulatory changes are identified early and translated into clear actions for the business.
  • Audits, inspections and external requests are supported promptly and professionally.
  • Compliance risks are documented, escalated and followed through to corrective action.
  • Internal stakeholders receive practical, timely guidance and coordination on compliance requirements.
  • The role demonstrates strong judgement, confidentiality, responsiveness and attention to detail in a fast-moving environment.
Experience & background Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business or Employment Law. The source profile calls for approximately two years of progressive business experience, strong customer-service capability, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Intermediate-to-advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook skills are expected. QuickBooks, international experience (including international banking) and bilingual capability are listed as advantages rather than requirements.
Performance measures Illustrative measures:
registration and filing timeliness; accuracy/completeness of compliance records; audit readiness; regulatory inquiry response time; closure of identified compliance actions; quality and timeliness of compliance reporting; tracking of regulatory changes; stakeholder service; documentation quality; and completion of assigned compliance initiatives. Role approach This is a hands-on coordination role. Success requires curiosity, strong follow-through and confidence to identify when an issue needs escalation. The role supports compliance ownership across the business but does not replace specialist legal, tax, immigration or regulatory advice where that expertise is required.
