Job Description
Position Summary The Part-Time Compliance Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the regulatory compliance program at Egrari Plastic Surgery Center. This individual serves as the facility's primary point of accountability for Washington State Department of Health (DOH) licensing requirements, Quad A (AAAHC) accreditation standards, and applicable federal regulations including CMS Conditions for Coverage. The Compliance Officer ensures ongoing survey readiness, oversees policy currency, and fosters a culture of compliance across all departments. This is a fully on-site position. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance & Survey Readiness Maintain current knowledge of
WAC 246-330
(WA DOH), Quad A/AAAHC standards, and CMS Conditions for Coverage Conduct ongoing gap assessments and internal mock surveys to identify compliance deficiencies before inspections Serve as primary on-site contact and coordinator during WA DOH inspections and Quad A accreditation surveys Prepare and submit required documentation, Plans of Correction (POCs), and corrective action plans Monitor regulatory updates and communicate required changes to leadership and staff Policies & Procedures Review, update, and maintain all ASC policies and procedures on a defined review cycle Ensure P&Ps align with current WA DOH, Quad A, OSHA, and CMS requirements Coordinate governing body approval of policy revisions and maintain version-controlled documentation Quality Improvement / QAPI Oversee the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program Facilitate quarterly QI committee meetings; prepare agendas, minutes, and data reports Track and trend incident reports, near misses, patient outcomes, and infection events Implement corrective action plans and monitor outcomes Infection Prevention & Life Safety Ensure infection control program meets APIC guidelines and accreditation standards Coordinate annual infection control risk assessment (ICRA) Oversee life safety compliance including fire drills, emergency preparedness plan, and equipment maintenance logs Ensure OSHA compliance including bloodborne pathogen training and exposure control plan Credentialing & Privileging Maintain and oversee the credentialing and privileging process for all licensed independent practitioners Ensure timely re-credentialing and peer review activities per Quad A and medical staff bylaws Coordinate with medical director on peer review and ongoing professional practice evaluation (OPPE/FPPE) Staff Training & Education Develop and deliver annual compliance training for all staff (HIPAA, fraud/abuse, OSHA, infection control) Maintain training records and ensure documentation meets survey standards Orient new staff to compliance policies and reporting obligations Documentation & Reporting Maintain organized, survey-ready compliance files and binders on-site Prepare compliance reports for the governing body and administrator Manage the facility's HIPAA compliance program including breach response and BAA tracking Qualifications Required Minimum 2-5 years of healthcare compliance experience, preferably in an ASC or outpatient surgical setting Working knowledge of Washington State DOH ASC regulations (WAC 246-330) and Quad A/AAAHC standards Demonstrated experience preparing for and managing regulatory surveys or accreditation visits Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to write clear policies and present to governing body Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to maintain electronic and paper compliance documentation Ability to work on-site at Egrari Plastic Surgery Center Preferred Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or Certified Ambulatory Surgery Center Administrator (CASC) Experience with QAPI program management and infection prevention in an outpatient or plastic surgery setting Familiarity with CMS Conditions for Coverage for ASCs and Medicare billing compliance Registered Nurse (RN) or other clinical licensure a plus Core Competencies Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills Self-directed; able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision Collaborative; able to work effectively with clinical, administrative, and physician staff Sound judgment and integrity in handling sensitive compliance matters Commitment to patient safety and continuous quality improvement Compensation & Benefits Egrari Plastic Surgery Center offers competitive compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications: Experience Level W-2 (Part-Time Employee) 2-5 yrs (no cert) $45- 55/hr 5-8 yrs, ASC exp $55
- 70/hr 8+ yrs, ASC exp $70
- 85/hr 1099 (Independent Contractor) 2-5 yrs (no cert) $60
- 72/hr 5-8 yrs, ASC exp $72
- 88/hr 8+ yrs, ASC exp $88
- 95/hr This is an on-site, part-time position (10-20 hours/week).

$45.00- $95.
