Full-Time | Monday - Friday | Onsite Sustainability & Legislative Compliance Coordinator Job Summary This position will undertake all projects related to sustainability and compliance to legislative measures related to sustainability. This includes monitoring Federal/State/Municipality requirements concerning sustainability initiatives across the RJ Schinner footprint nationally and how they impact RJ Schinner compliance for our own exclusive brands as well as our strategic partner brands in those markets. This position will be responsible for informing both internal and external stakeholders about the impacts and timing of these laws. This position will also work with various government agencies to ensure RJ Schinner is following any reporting and/or fees that may be involved with the legislative mandates. This position will also have responsibility for managing suppliers with extensive sustainable bundles. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Research related to sustainability and compliance legislation that will impact RJ Schinner either on our own exclusive brands or the brands of our strategic partners Collaboration with government agencies to understand the reporting and/or fee requirements associated with the legislative measures Collaboration with any RJ Schinner strategic partners to ensure all mutual risk is assessed and process for compliance implemented Coordination of various teams within RJ Schinner to ensure compliance with the laws as necessary Communication of impacts of these laws to the necessary internal and external stakeholders Attend industry related conferences and association meetings as necessary Liaison with customers as requested to inform how the legislative measures will impact their business at the street level and beyond On-going training as needed to stay compliant with any certifications defined for this position Defined category management responsibilities for select suppliers with extensive sustainable bundles of products Other duties as assigned Required Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex problems. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to handle data, detailed information, and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong business acumen and thorough understanding of distribution products, processes and strategies. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Job Qualifications Proficiency in using computer programs to research and preform data analysis using Excel, ERP, CRM, and other programs. Strong knowledge of distribution products, product specs, processes, and strategies Prior experience with government relations or compliance related to product sustainability Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. High School Diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred Ability to travel domesticallyLocation:
