Full Job Description Duties:
- Provide compassionate and personalized care to elderly clients in their homes or assisted living facilities.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers, including the use of lifting equipment when necessary.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients by following proper procedures and protocols.
- Promote and respect the rights of residents, including privacy and dignity.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if needed.
- Engage in social activities and provide companionship to clients.
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
Skills:
- Experience in home care or assisted living settings.
- Knowledge of ADLs (activities of daily living) and senior care principles.
- Ability to lift and transfer clients safely using proper techniques or lifting equipment.
- Familiarity with resident rights and regulations governing caregiving services.
- Proficient in meal preparation and following dietary restrictions.
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide emotional support and build rapport with clients.
- Understanding of care systems and ability to navigate them effectively.
- Empathy, patience, and compassion for the elderly population.
