The primary responsibilities of this position will be to evaluate creditworthiness, document credit decisions, and maintain credit files. This full-time position is located onsite at the CFS headquarters in Decatur, AL. The position will report to the Director of Credit, and will work closely with the credit, lending, and collections staff. Company Background CFS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Alabama Farmers Cooperative, Inc. ("AFC") that was organized in 1993 to provide financing services to AFC member cooperatives and their patrons. CFS was established to be the "internal bank" for AFC member cooperatives, providing them a convenient, patronage based, lender to meet their financing needs. CFS's primary business operations consist of originating seasonal revolving loans, term loans, and accounts receivable financing. As of FYE2026 The Company's loan volume consists of approximately $120 million with continued plans for growth in the coming years. Historically, the sole business of CFS was direct lending to AFC members. This includes seasonal operating loans necessary to finance a member's operations or term loans to finance capital projects. Beginning in the fall of 2022 the business was expanded to offer patrons of AFC member cooperatives a new solution to finance their farm input purchases from their respective AFC member cooperative locations. The new line of business has created substantial value for AFC and its members. Specifically, this new service has helped solve one of the biggest challenges that the members face - managing cash flow in a very seasonal industry such as agriculture. Additionally, the business is patronage based, such that the members who use the service will receive patronage refunds annually, which substantially reduces the ultimate cost of the program. It is the lowest cost alternative the stores have while at the same time providing AFC with a new source of revenue and earnings within our core business. CFS has experienced significant growth since establishing the new line of business and growth is expected to continue with key software upgrades set to be complete during FY27.
