Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine (KPSOM) is seeking an accomplished, innovative leader to serve as its inaugural Chief Accreditation and Strategy Officer (CASO). This executive will report directly to the Dean and CEO and play a significant role in shaping the school's next era of growth. As a mission-driven, innovative medical school fully integrated within Kaiser Permanente (KP), the nation's largest nonprofit health system, KPSOM offers a unique environment where academic excellence, health systems integration, and a commitment to quality and equity converge. The CASO will be responsible for leading maintenance of accreditation, strategic planning and implementation, and institutional effectiveness, ensuring that all initiatives and resources align with the school's mission and long-term priorities. The CASO will play a leading role in strengthening accreditation readiness, advancing institutional effectiveness, and supporting enterprise-wide strategic priorities. This executive will guide accreditation self-study processes, compliance monitoring, readiness for site visits, and continuous quality improvement. The CASO will also partner with school leadership and key constituents at KP to implement the recently developed 2026-2030 strategic plan and further the school's focus on alignment, operational maturity, and sustained growth. As a key component of these activities, the CASO will oversee data analytics and reporting, building a modern infrastructure that supports decision-making, performance monitoring, and institutional learning. The role also includes ensuring responsible integration of emerging technologies, including AI, across academic, operational, and administrative domains. Ideal candidates bring extensive experience in academic or healthcare environments, with a strong record of leading accreditation processes, strategic planning initiatives, and cross-functional teams. A graduate degree in a relevant field is required, and a doctoral degree is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, executive presence, and the ability to build collaborative partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups.
