Full Job Description Job Location:
This position is fully onsite at our Sergeant Bluff, Iowa location.
Job Purpose:
The primary role of the Credit Analyst is to provide administrative loan support for Commercial / Ag Loan Officers. In addition, this position will provide financial services to Commercial, Ag and Consumer clients. This position will perform assigned duties in accordance with Midstates Bank's Core Values and will adhere to Quality Service Standards.
Essential Functions:
Prepares financial analysis through Web Equity software program on Ag / Commercial clients and make recommendations to lenders. This will include preparing credit memorandum write-ups on loan credits to be presented to loan committees. Assists other branches, specifically Kingsley and Sergeant Bluff, with credit analysis coverage as needed. Maintains a full understanding of Midstates Bank Loan Policy and credit culture. Prepares credit memorandum write-ups in accordance with Loan Policy. Provides financial services to Ag/Commercial clients. Advises clients, where possible, concerning business management and financial matters. Supports business development efforts including joint sales calls with loan officers. Supports collection efforts on trouble loans including inspections of properties, client consultations, loan modifications, etc. Assists Loan Administrator in performing their function when necessary to ensure files are complete, documentation is accurate, and loan closings happen as scheduled. Participates in civic activities to promote growth and development of the community and a positive image for the bank. Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
Strong communication and analytical skills; strong computer skills including Web Equity and Microsoft Office products; good interpersonal skills and team orientation.
Education:
2-Year College Degree in Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent combination of course work and work experience.
Experience:
Accounting or bookkeeping experience in formation of financial statements and cashflows. Previous bank experience preferred.
