The responsibilities include analyzing credit data and financial information of persons or companies that are applying for credit or loans to assist in determining the level of risk that the bank will experience fits within acceptable parameters. The level of risk is then used by the lending staff to determine if a loan or line of credit will be granted. Credit analysts will prepare reports based upon their findings to assist loan committee in making decisions on lending and credit-worthiness. Must be able to communicate thoughts clearly, both orally and written, and possess a teamwork attitude. This position has no direct sales production goals but is measured on the past due and exceptions related to the existing portfolio. Primary Responsibilities Executes on the Bank's commercial loan origination strategy by working directly with commercial lenders on prospects, clients, and centers of influence to develop optimal financing structures to address borrowing needs. Underwrites, structures, and documents prospect and client transactions that generally represent the most complex and largest of client relationships and circumstances. Manages the assigned portfolio by monitoring performance and trends, proactively defining client credit solutions, identifying issues and developing remediation, underwriting and approving credit as designated Accountable for the risk evaluation and associated compliance requirements as defined in respective roles and responsibility matrix for AML, CRA/HMDA, Reg B, and other regulatory/compliance requirements within assigned portfolio and for prospects Routinely monitor loans for compliance with loan policy Analyze cash flows, leverage, collateral and customer strength Comply with and assist others in complying with all relevant laws, regulations and policies Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act regulations as it pertains to the functions of this position Assist loan officers with making decisions on risk grade changes. Other duties as assigned by Management This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. This position is incentive eligible. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred Minimum Three (3) years' experience in commercial underwriting Subject Matter Expert-level understanding of accounting and finance, financial statement and cash flow analysis Skills and Competencies Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders Strong analytical and problem- solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Well organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task This position can be filled at a higher level based on skills and qualifications. Compensation to be determined by qualifications and experience level. Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines is a critical skill for this role. Ideal location for this position would be at our office at 2001 Dixie Highway, Ft. Wright, KY but could be at any of our other offices to accommodate the location of the applicant.
