Job Description

Credit Manager Reports to
Store Manager and Credit Supervisor SUMMARY:
The Credit Manager is responsible for maintaining the accounts receivables through the approval of credit sales and collection of accounts. Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, vacation, sick, 401K and more, starting after 90 days of employment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review credit applications for approval
  • Assign and manage purchase limits for all new, present and past customers
  • Process financed contracts and cash sale invoices
  • Process payments and other paperwork relating to accounts
  • Collecting delinquent accounts by making phone calls, skip tracing or processing legal collections through the court system
  • Oversight of repossessions and the sale of repossessions
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned by the Store Manager or divisional Credit Supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The Credit Manager must be a leader and a co-worker. This individual must demonstrate that he or she is a self-motivated individual who has the ability to make appropriate credit decisions and has a strong commitment to insuring that the credit procedures and policies of Schewel Furniture Company are strictly followed. The Credit Manager's appearance and attitude must be one of a professional who takes their position seriously and with great pride. Excellent customer and communication skills are required.
Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Two years of college in business related courses or two years of experience with credit/collections preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
