Job Description

Summary:
Under direct supervision, the Credit Analyst II supports the lending function by spreading and analyzing financial statements, gathering credit information, and assisting in the preparation of loan packages for officer level lending authority and loan committees. This role works closely with senior credit staff and participates in ongoing training while developing foundational credit analysis and underwriting skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Spread and analyze customer financial statements, including business and personal financial information for commercial & agricultural customers. Calculate financial ratios and cash flow metrics to support credit analysis. Gather credit reports, references, and related information for loan presentations. Preparation of loan packages and credit presentations for loan officers and loan committees. Work closely with Credit Analyst I and Senior Credit Analyst to support underwriting and credit review functions. Participate as a member of officer level loan committee, as applicable. Assist with monitoring problem loans and verifying collateral documentation. Conduct annual file reviews to update cash flow analysis, financial information, and collateral values. Participate in ongoing training to develop credit analysis, underwriting, and banking knowledge. Perform other duties as assigned within the loan department.

Experience:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. 3+ years experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, or lending preferred. Experience using Abrigo (Sageworks) credit analysis and spreading software is preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to interpret financial statements and calculate financial ratios. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with credit analysis software such as Abrigo (Sageworks) preferred. Comfort using technology and standard office equipment. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to handle conflict and stress. Ability to work collaboratively with credit staff, lenders, and other internal departments. Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing professional development. Ability to occasionally lift or move light items, such as files or document boxes, generally up to 15 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work standard business hours, with flexibility for occasional overtime based on operational needs.
