A Credit Manager works within an organization to manage the credit department and make decisions concerning credit limits, acceptable levels of risk and terms of payment to their customers.

The Municipal Bond Credit Analyst/PM reports directly to the Director of Fixed Income. This role is responsible for all areas of the firm's municipal bond market research and portfolio management including municipal bond trading, portfolio construction and issuer due diligence/credit research/surveillance.
Job Responsibilities:
Execute fixed income trades across multiple fixed income trading platforms including but not limited to Fidelity, Altruist, Schwab, BondNav, iCAP, Bloomberg, and Tradeweb. Ongoing security valuations for various fixed income sectors prior to purchase to ensure compliance with Best Price and Execution. Compile trade execution materials daily for settlement and record keeping. Manage custodian electronic fixed income trading platforms. Provide fixed income support to Investment Advisors regarding fixed income strategies, fixed income investments, as well as the key trading differences across the different custodian platforms. Manage approve broker list. Provide additional oversight and due diligence of external fixed income managers in combination with the Manager Research Working Group. Participate in fixed income external fund managers due diligence calls and meetings. Assist with best execution process. Manages the trade order system as well as the fixed income automatic reinvestment program of matured bonds. Due diligence of municipal and corporate issuers. Reviewing and analyzing potential issuers for purchase across our fixed income buy lists. Maintain and monitor municipal and corporate issuer buy list. Construct individual fixed income security portfolios including cash management, municipal and short/intermediate duration taxable bond portfolios for clients/investment advisors. Facilitate trade resolutions between custodians/operations and brokers. Manage daily municipal bond trading across client portfolios. Manage automatic reinvestment list while updating new orders on an ongoing basis. Monitor trade order screens to ensure timely execution of Investment Advisor trade orders. Actively construct municipal bond portfolios. Strong trading experience. Develop and maintain municipal bond strategies across SMA accounts. Strong understanding of municipal bond valuations and adhering to best price and execution. Active and ongoing research across municipal bond sectors - revenue and general obligations. Strong credit experience. Update and maintain the municipal bond approved buy list. Monitor all credits on the list. Working knowledge of trading on various custodian fixed income trading platforms as well as Bloomberg and Tradeweb. Strong and existing knowledge/understanding of the municipal bond market and geographic locations. Strong understanding of municipal bond valuations across different bond structures. Construct sample portfolios for prospects. Assist Investment Advisors with municipal bond inquiries and client-related questions. Communicate municipal bond investing risks. Serve as the municipal bond expert within the organization. Contribute to market and economic commentary while staying on top of current trends. Assigned additional duties as deemed necessary by the Director of Fixed Income and Chief Investment Officer.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 5-10 years of experience working as a municipal bond credit analyst and/or portfolio manager. Interest in fixed income investments and capital markets. Must have an advanced level in Microsoft Office suite, including analyzing data and using formulas in Excel, drafting documents in Word, and creating PowerPoint presentations. CFA designation and or advanced degree is preferred. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, integrity, and process excellence. Familiarity with performance reporting, attribution, and client reporting processes. Ability to engage credibly with portfolio managers, strategists, and advisors. Familiarity with investment performance analytics, risk metrics, and reporting tools. Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Team-work independent thinking and a proactive attitude are required; Strong collaborator who builds trust across senior leadership, advisors, and teams. Ability to adapt a culture of accountability, transparency, and excellence. Familiarity with Bloomberg, Morningstar, Tradeweb. Salary Range:
$111,440.00 - $183,082.25 Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate's experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
