$90k-$115k annually Position Summary This role provides critical support in the credit approval and monitoring process within the financial services industry. The candidate will analyze creditworthiness, loan structures, and industry profiles, including historical financial performance and cash flow, to assist in risk assessment and decision-making. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive credit analyses, evaluating the applicant's financial condition, operating profile, and industry trends. Develop various financial models such as projections and recovery scenarios, assessing the reasonableness of assumptions. Benchmark prospective borrowers against industry peers and summarize relevant industry data. Prepare clear, comprehensive written credit opinions with recommendations for approval or decline. Engage with branches and relevant teams to discuss and recommend credit structure modifications or conditions. Assign appropriate risk ratings to each customer or transaction as needed. Monitor and evaluate assigned borrowers and industry sectors proactively, including tracking market data such as share prices and credit indices. Report the impact of market and financial data on credits and industries to senior management in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with established credit standards, policies, and objectives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree; a major in Finance or Economics is preferred. 3 to 5 years of relevant banking or credit experience. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Proactive, curious, and self-motivated with a keen interest in finance. Demonstrated strong analytical, quantitative, and judgment skills. Knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, and the ability to build three-statement cash flow models. Excellent time management skills. Effective negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to present credit packages to decision makers.
