Credit Analyst & Commercial Underwriting Specialist ๐ฆ Our client, a Bank in the financial services sector, is seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to provide vital underwriting and analytical support to their Commercial Underwriting team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic environment where your expertise in financial analysis will directly impact sound lending decisions. ๐Key Responsibilities:
- Spread and analyze personal and business financial statements, including tax returns, to assess financial capacity for lending.
- Use sophisticated software tools to produce and evaluate key financial ratios and identify trends related to liquidity, revenues, and profitability.
- Collaborate closely with Commercial Lending officers to ensure complete and accurate documentation for new credit proposals and renewals.
- Assist in evaluating loan requests vigilantly, applying credit policies, identifying risks, and preparing clear, high-quality analysis for management and credit committees.
- Communicate effectively with Retail and Lending staff throughout all phases of credit review to facilitate efficient approvals.
- Ensure all loan files comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. ๐ฏ
Qualifications:
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in credit analysis or related roles.
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Finance or Accounting.
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Office Suite (Word, Excel), and loan processing systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex documents and make well-informed decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with discretion, diplomacy, and tact.
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds and remaining stationary for extended periods. ๐
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in
CRE, C&I
lending, loan structuring, financial structuring, and DSCR analysis. ๐ผWork Environment:
