Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bank Credit Analyst to join our financial services team. In this role, you will evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients by analyzing financial statements, industry trends, and market data. Your expertise will help inform lending decisions, manage risk, and ensure compliance with banking regulations. The ideal candidate is passionate about financial analysis, possesses strong communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering exceptional client service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze credit data and financial information of persons or companies applying for credit to determine risk for the bank
- Complete loan applications, including credit analyses, preparation of financial information, and summaries of loan requests, and submit to loan committees for approval
- Conduct evaluations and inspections on collateral for existing and potential loans
- Prepare weekly past due and loan maturing reports
- Must to able to assist Branch Manager/Senior Lender with recommendations on credit application approval/denial based on research and analysis
- Must become very familiar with Cache Valley Bank's credit policy
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or comparable experience
- Excellent knowledge of corporate financial analyses and risk management practices
- Understanding of pricing strategies
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Communicate clearly, promptly, accurately and cordially through email and telephone
- Ability to use all related hardware and software applications including spreadsheets
- Must have problem solving skills
- Detail oriented, accurate and efficient
- Team player who also displays individual initiative
