The Cash Poster/Credit Balance Clerk is responsible for the accurate posting of payments, adjustments, and denials from insurance companies, patients, and third-party payers into the patient accounting system. This role also manages and resolves credit balances in compliance with payer regulations and organizational policies. Job Requirements:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Associate degree in medical record technology, anatomy, and/or physiology preferred

Experience:

Minimum of three (3) years' medical billing experience including knowledge of billing related reporting is required. This includes working with medical payers including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance. Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
