If our mission statement piques your interest, we encourage you to apply for the currently open position of Consumer Servicing & Credit Reporting Compliance Specialist to work Monday - Friday 8:00-5:00 PM at our Branch located in 2292 1930 N St, Lehi, UT. The Consumer Servicing & Credit Reporting Compliance Specialist serves as a technical subject matter expert (SME) within the Compliance Department, responsible for providing second-line oversight of the Bank's consumer loan servicing and credit reporting activities. This role supports the 2nd Line of Defense by interpreting regulatory requirements, advising business units, conducting risk-based monitoring and testing, identifying control gaps, and supporting sustainable remediation. The role will also support compliance oversight of consumer credit card activities as the Bank's program expands.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred CRCM Certification preferred 5 to 7 years of consumer lending, loan servicing, credit reporting, or compliance experience, preferably within a regulated financial institution. Expert knowledge of federal and state consumer lending and servicing regulations, including Regulation Z, Regulation X, FCRA, ECOA/Regulation B, FDCPA, and applicable mortgage servicing requirements. Expert knowledge of credit reporting requirements, Metro 2 reporting, furnishing accuracy, dispute processes, and charged-off account reporting. Experience with compliance monitoring, testing, quality control, audit, or regulatory examination processes. Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail. Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business processes and controls.
Regular Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the subject matter expert for consumer servicing and credit reporting laws and regulations, including but not limited to TILA (Reg Z), RESPA (Reg X), FCRA, ECOA (Reg B), FDCPA, Fair Lending, UDAAP, and applicable state requirements. Provide day-to-day compliance advisory support to Consumer Lending, Loan Servicing, Operations, and other applicable business units. Conduct risk-based compliance monitoring and testing of consumer servicing activities, including periodic statements, escrow administration, initial and annual escrow statements, ARM rate change notices, index validation, payment application, and other servicing requirements. Conduct ongoing oversight and testing of consumer credit reporting processes, including furnishing accuracy, Metro 2 reporting, account status reporting, charged-off accounts, dispute handling, and correction processes. Analyze servicing and credit reporting data to identify trends, exceptions, systemic issues, control weaknesses, and potential regulatory risk. Partner with business leaders to develop and operationalize policies, procedures, controls, and processes that align with regulatory requirements and support sustainable compliance. Collaborate across Compliance, Risk, Consumer Lending, Loan Servicing, Operations, and other business units to evaluate compliance risks, identify root causes, and drive timely and effective remediation. Validate corrective actions resulting from compliance monitoring, testing, audits, complaints, regulatory examinations, and other identified issues to ensure remediation is complete and sustainable. Support Regulatory Change Management by assessing the impact of new or revised laws and regulations affecting consumer servicing and credit reporting and working with business management to operationalize requirements. Monitor regulatory developments and communicate applicable changes, risks, and compliance expectations to business partners and Compliance leadership. Assist in the development and delivery of regulation-based and role-specific training related to consumer servicing, credit reporting, and applicable consumer lending requirements. Socialize compliance policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices across applicable business units to reinforce a culture of compliance and accountability. Maintain appropriate documentation and evidence supporting monitoring, testing, issue management, remediation, and regulatory examination readiness. Provide targeted guidance to frontline staff and management to ensure responsibilities related to servicing and credit reporting compliance are clearly understood and appropriately executed. Assist with compliance oversight and monitoring of consumer credit card activities as the Bank's credit card program expands. Support Compliance leadership with reporting, risk assessments, examination requests, and other governance activities related to consumer servicing and credit reporting. Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, data quality, and monitoring methodologies to strengthen the Bank's overall Compliance Management System.
