This role goes beyond routine payment processing: you'll manage loans that require hands-on attention, from everyday servicing through default, workout, foreclosure, bankruptcy, eviction, REO management, and final sale. The primary role of this position is to take ownership of protecting our investors' interests by administering and enforcing the terms of the note and deed of trust throughout the life of the loan. We're looking for someone who combines strong technical experience with sound judgment, organization, and professional communication. That means someone who can take ownership of a difficult loan, manage the process from first missed payment through final disposition, and handle every stage with confidence and professionalism. What You'll Do Oversee day-to-day loan servicing: payments, payoffs, reconveyances, and investor/borrower communication.

Spot trouble early:

track delinquencies, senior liens, taxes, and insurance, and step in before small problems become big ones. Negotiate directly with borrowers on workouts, modifications, and forbearance agreements. Manage the Notice of Default and foreclosure process from start to finish, working closely with foreclosure trustees and counsel. Coordinate with legal counsel when a borrower files bankruptcy, keeping the loan protected through the process. Handle eviction and possession matters with counsel when we take back a property. Take charge of properties we acquire through foreclosure (REO): protecting, managing, and marketing them for sale. Keep investors informed and get their sign-off when it's needed, then manage distributions and final payouts. See it through to the end: winding down the holding entity once a property is sold and the books are closed. What We're Looking For Solid experience in California private money or commercial real estate lending. This isn't an entry-level or routine servicing role. Hands-on experience taking a loan through default, foreclosure, and resolution, not just processing payments on performing loans. Comfortable working with foreclosure trustees, attorneys, and bankruptcy counsel, and confident managing those relationships. A clear, professional communicator who can keep investors calm and informed even when a loan is in trouble. Organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy. You'll be handling sensitive financial and legal matters. Able to work independently and make sound judgment calls without needing constant oversight.
