Job Description

The Member Service Officer/Loan Officer role is responsible for helping members achieve their financial goals through sound lending practices, personalized service, and a commitment to compliance and integrity. Key Responsibilities Interview, process, and evaluate consumer, credit card, and mortgage loan applications. Analyze applicant financial information and make sound lending recommendations. Ensure compliance with lending policies, regulations, and internal audit standards. Provide exceptional member service, building strong and lasting relationships. Identify member needs and cross-sell Credit Union products and services. Monitor delinquency and assist members with repayment plans when necessary. Support teller operations and assist with branch responsibilities as needed. Participate in community outreach and promotional activities. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. At least 2 years of experience in financial services, lending, collections, or member service. Knowledge of consumer lending practices and regulatory compliance. Strong communication, problem-solving, and member service skills. Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
