POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for processing and funding indirect loan applications. Ensure that proper loan information is collected to maintain acceptable credit standards and to conform to credit union policy. Maintain a working knowledge of all services and operations of the credit union. Perform the duties necessary to obtain, process, and inform dealerships in a timely manner on the status of loans by fax applications. Support a sales and service culture.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
Represent the credit union to dealerships and members in a courteous, professional manner. Provide prompt, efficient and accurate service in processing transactions. 2. Obtain and maintain knowledge of all credit union products and services to support cross-selling to all members with emphasis on credit disability, GAP and MBI policies (extended warranty). 3. Complete audit cover sheet, checking OFAC, MLA, and FACTA, updating applicant information in Sync1. Audit dealer packet to ensure all documents are present, signed, and match the approval given by the analyst. 4. Process loan applications in Sync1 and review for completeness. Refer to credit analyst for approval. 5. Process pending applications. 6. Post loans and prepare documents needed to fund/book loans. 7. Process contracts and loan applications within a timely manner. 8. Review debt-to-income and payment-to-income ratios in Sync1 for accuracy; make adjustments as necessary. 10. Maintain working knowledge of automated computer software including DNA and Sync1 and other specific product software. 11. Assist in ShareVault and with ACH needs, if needed. 12. Maintain business relationships with dealerships credit union does business with. 13. Be sure funded deals get pushed to Nautilus from Udrive Processed Folder. 15. Maintain knowledge of and comply with regulatory requirements such as the Bank Secrecy Act and credit union security protocols as it relates to this position. 16. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to read and write. Ability to count and deal with numbers and details effectively. Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels, orally, in writing, or by phone. Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate orally, in writing, and by phone. Ability to deal with members effectively (friendliness, tact and diplomacy). Ability to learn, apply, and communicate knowledge of policies and procedures of the loan department. Ability to learn, apply, and communicate knowledge of credit union products and services. Ability to coordinate, process and analyze lending documentation and decisions. Ability to make sound decisions on issues and justify them. Ability to work independently and with little supervision. Ability to input and retrieve data from computer. Ability to use a calculator. Ability to type accurately. Ability to compose letters and memorandum. Ability to use and learn office machines (i.e., copier, fax, terminals). Ability to use the automated loan application software. Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Two years lending-related experience in a financial institution or a college degree preferred.
