Job Description

SUMMARY:
Under the direction of management, in line with established policies and procedures, this position coordinates and reinforces the sales efforts of the business banking staff, by managing the administrative work and documentation related to SBA lending.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following; other duties may be assigned. Research and prepare SBA application packages for Highland Bank customers. Determine SBA eligibility in accordance with SBA preferred lender authority and approve loan requests on behalf of the agency. Assist lenders in the structuring, analysis, review and presentation of SBA loans for approval by the appropriate approval authority. Work with others to ensure that all SBA loans originated by the bank are properly underwritten to bank lending guidelines, as well as SBA SOP. Analyze SBA loans and edit loan analysis for SBA underwriting requirements. Meeting with SBA clients and Loan Officers on a case-by-case basis to discuss new and existing loan relationships with the bank Facilitate SBA loan closings with commercial lenders and customers and ensure loans are closed and disbursed in compliance with all legal, regulatory, and SBA requirements. Handle SBA draw requests. Handle SBA servicing actions. Develop and implement workout plans to monitor credit risk on SBA portfolio. Assist with SBA repurchase packages. Prepare 1086 agreements for loan sales. Monthly completion of 1502 report along with secondary market reporting. Also works with the FTA to resolve discrepancies and issues on sold loans. Manages delinquencies on loans with SBA manager and lenders. Handles the details of customer service transactions for SBA customers. Creates or enhances customer information portfolio by entering information received from customers. Provides ongoing support to SBA Lending Manager and acts as back-up SBA expertise in the absence of the manager.
