Job Description

Role Perform loan servicing responsibilities associated with the documentation and posting necessary in servicing the Bank's borrowers. Incumbents will be expected to have a good understanding of the functional area so that they may operate competently in this area by performing the following duties. Major Duties and Responsibilities Weight Description Essential 15% Respond to inquiries from customers concerning loan related issues. 15% Responsible for working with all branch lending personnel in assuring that approved underwriting procedures are used for all consumer loans. 10% Obtain insurance binders or copies of insurance policies from borrowers or insurance agents and maintain up-to-date policies in credit files; verifies that property/casualty insurance is maintained on collateral pledge on loans; follow-up for replacement of canceled insurance policies. 10% Process paid loans, including the release of collateral. 10% Resolve transactional posting issues on loans. 5% Assist in lien perfection on titled items. 5% Prepare weekly and monthly statistical reports; preform monthly mortgage investor reporting and remittance. 5% Reconcile specific general ledger and checking accounts. 5% Generate and send all loan notices and statements, including ARL notices, billing statements, past due notices, right to cure notices, etc. 5% Generate and send annual escrow analysis; pay insurance and taxes for customers when the bank escrows for these payments. 5% Enter new loans and renewals/extensions/modifications on to the core database system; verify all loan system input. 5% Preform all bankruptcy, foreclosure, and charge off correspondence, posting, and maintenance. 5% Investigate and resolve all internal and external loan disputes, including credit bureau disputes. Knowledge and Skills Experience Six months to two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions. Education/Certifications/Licenses High school degree or GED required. Interpersonal Skills Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving and obtaining information, as well as advising or referring, which commonly require shorter discussions.

  • At least one year experience in office environment or comparable training
  • Ability to be a team player and to be committed to the Bank ADA Requirements Physical Requirements Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer sitting for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Working Conditions Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled private office with minimal noise. Mental and/or Emotional Requirements Must be able to perform job functions independently and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to plan and direct the work activities of self and others. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
