Originate commercial loans and leases secured by various collateral including but not limited to real estate, equipment, and other business assets. Be an active participant in related business development activities primarily working with business clients and owners. Exhibit a thorough knowledge of lending requirements, business operations and real estate law. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for commercial real estate and other types of commercial loans, including acquisition and development loans, construction loans and lease products Basic knowledge and usage of the bank's core operating system Review and evaluate information on loan documentation to determine if borrower, collateral, and loan conditions meet establishment and government standards Obtain and analyze financial and credit data Discuss potential loan prices for prospective borrowers Manage commercial loan portfolio, focusing on loan and deposit management Responsible for past dues, loan collection and quarterly watch list reporting on their portfolio of commercial loans Call on realtors, builders, businesses, and other professionals to develop contacts Call on potential and existing customers to develop new business and retain existing business Cross-sell bank products and services Attend training and bank meetings to stay up to date Participate in community service opportunities Provide and promote exceptional customer service. Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience 2-5 years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience Education/Certifications/Licenses A college degree is preferred but not required. Interpersonal Skills The ability to motivate or influence inside or outside senior level executives is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogue, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position.
