What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Card Retention Specialist. This position falls under our Corpay Payables line of business and is located in Beaverton, OR. In this role, you will be responsible for retaining suppliers on Corpay s card payment solutions, protecting revenue-generating settled spend, managing inbound and outbound retention cases, resolving card acceptance and payment issues, and applying approved retention strategies to preserve supplier participation in virtual card and related monetized payment programs. You will report directly to Sr Director of Suppliers Sales and Retention and regularly collaborate with suppliers, customers, operations, sales, support teams, and external partners. How We Work

The responsibilities of the role will include: Managing assigned supplier and card-retention cases from intake through verified resolution and closure
Contacting suppliers and customers by phone and email to identify reasons for declining or discontinuing card payments and determining appropriate next steps
Applying approved retention strategies to resolve objections, reinforcing the value of electronic card payments, and preserving monetized spending
Investigating card acceptance, enrollment, remittance, settlement, and payment-processing issues using available systems and data
Coordinating with internal teams and external partners to remove payment friction and deliver timely, sustainable resolutions
Meeting established service, quality, productivity, and follow-up expectations, including accurate case closure and management of reopened cases
Documenting all interactions, commitments, outcomes, and retained-spend results in Salesforce CRM and related reporting tools
Escalating complex, high-value, or policy-sensitive issues to the appropriate stakeholders while maintaining case ownership
Monitoring case trends and identifying recurring issues, process gaps, and opportunities to improve supplier experience and retention performance
Supporting calibration, training, reporting, and other operational initiatives as assigned Qualifications & Skills High school diploma required; college degree in business, accounting, communications, or a related field preferred
2 years of card service experience 1 year customer retention, collections, call center, software, or payments experience required; Corpay experience is a plus
Demonstrated phone and email skills in de-escalation, objection handling, issue resolution, and relationship retention
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM/ticketing software
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to analyzing account, payment, case, and performance data and using that information to make sound decisions
Ability to manage a high-volume case queue and consistently meet monthly productivity, quality, and documentation expectations
Strong critical thinking, time management, collaboration, and communication skills
Professional fluency in English, with excellent grammar and clear speech

The expected salary range for this position is $45,000 - $50,000, based on the candidate s work location. This range reflects a good faith estimate of the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The final offer will be determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable market conditions. Compensation may vary based on geographic location and will be confirmed during the hiring process. Additional compensation and benefits, including incentive programs, health coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits, where applicable, may also be provided.
