Job Description

The Loan Servicing Specialist is the foundation level position in the Loan Operations team. Incumbents at this level will demonstrate effective working knowledge of post origination servicing activities supporting consumer lending programs. Individuals in this position support one or more loan servicing related functions that could include but may not be limited to new loan on boarding, system updates, payment processing, collateral lien perfection, monitoring and release as well as general loan program exception management and reporting duties. Duties performed at this level are routine in nature and generally performed within formal guidelines and direct supervisory oversight. Individuals in this position will receive and respond to member service inquiries using good judgment and tact to deliver exceptional service the kind that creates the Unitus difference. Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExcellent PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite).Demonstrate good oral and written communications, member service, human relation, attention to detail, basic math, and problem solving skills.



Ability to work independently and as team player to conduct needs assessments, identify problems, develop solutions, and tact in implementing an appropriate course of action.



Basic understanding of consumer loan documentation and servicing practices.



Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent certificateMinimum of 1 year of loan servicing related experience preferred Basic working knowledge of consumer lending programs, laws and regulations Working knowledge of consumer lending platforms and systems.
