Individual Contributor Why This Role Matters The Escrow Specialist helps protect members, the credit union, and loan portfolios by ensuring tax and insurance obligations are accurate, timely, and compliant. This role reduces risk, resolves complex escrow issues, and creates a smoother servicing experience for borrowers and internal partners. What You'll Do Ensure escrow tax and insurance records are accurately established and maintained in the servicing system. Resolve tax, insurance, flood, and force-placed coverage issues by partnering with vendors, agents, taxing authorities, and internal teams. Disburse escrow-related tax and insurance payments on time to help prevent delinquencies, coverage gaps, and member impact. Analyze escrow accounts and process surplus notifications and disbursements in accordance with servicing requirements. Verify vendor data, billing reports, payees, and documentation to support accurate escrow administration. Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for internal and external escrow inquiries, providing research-based resolutions. Support regulatory and BSA-related compliance by following required policies, procedures, training expectations, and red-flag awareness. Experience:
Required Two (2) years of experience in mortgage loan servicing Preferred Two (2) years of experience with escrow accounts with experience on automated billing and payment of taxes and insurance Two (2) years of experience with escrow accounts with experience on automated billing and payment of taxes and insurance
Skills & Knowledge:
Required General knowledge of all areas of mortgage lending policies, guidelines, terminology, and procedures Calculator and general office equipment skills Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Superior customer service skills, ability to communicate complicated escrow issues to internal and external customers Ability to prioritize to meet daily deadlines Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines General knowledge of all areas of mortgage lending policies, guidelines, terminology, and procedures Calculator and general office equipment skills Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Superior customer service skills, ability to communicate complicated escrow issues to internal and external customers Ability to prioritize to meet daily deadlines Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Preferred Ability to type 40 wpm
Education:
Required High school diploma or equivalent

Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm

Paygrade:
1CA The expected pay range for this position is $23.77 to $25.73 per hour. Credit Human is committed to equitable and transparent compensation practices. Final compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic work location. Job Location:
This position is onsite based in San Antonio, Tx . Credit Human conducts employment background checks that may be used for decisions related to employment. Standard checks include NCUA Administrative and Prohibited Orders, ChexSystems, employment verification, criminal history (convictions and outstanding warrants within the past seven years), and degree verification (if applicable). Additional checks may include motor vehicle records, credit checks, or fingerprinting depending on the role. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
