Job Description

Consumer Lending Services Specialist I Yorktown, VA 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a Consumer Lending Services Specialist I to support our Consumer Lending Department. Scheduled hours will be 40 hours per week between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Consumer Lending Services Specialist I provides support to the Consumer Lending Department by performing both loan processing and credit card servicing functions. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant processing of consumer loans, as well as maintaining the integrity of credit card operations. The budgeted hiring range for this position is between $ 16.85 per hour and $ 21.06. The final pay rate will be based on the selected candidate's experience and education relevant to the role. This position is also eligible for (quarterly or annual) incentive payments based on individual and organizational performance. Consumer Lending Specialist Essential Functions & Responsibilities Responsible for the end-to-end processing and funding of all consumer loan applications, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all required documentation. Key responsibilities include coordinating branch closings, obtaining outstanding dealer stipulations, addressing routine inquiries, and managing the funding, scanning and archiving of loan documents. Possesses a thorough understanding of title loan procedures, including the preparation of daily title reports, processing of vehicle payoffs, administration of Bill Matrix payment returns and completion of Skip a Pay applications. Provides support for general ledger reconciliation. Completes basic DNA activities. Completes balance transfers. Prepare and review daily and monthly reports. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
Develop, maintain, and demonstrate a working knowledge of credit union loan standards, policies procedures and applicable state and federal government rules and regulations. Accurate and timely completion and response to DNA activities, both Credit Cards and Consumer Lending. Ensure general ledger entries and settlements are accurate and completed in a timely manner. Monitors, reviews, assistance with credit card and consumer lending functions. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills:
Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience. Education A high school education or GED. Interpersonal Skills Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information. Other Skills Must have good communication skills. Physical Requirements TALKING:
Effective verbal communication to convey and acknowledge receiving detailed or important instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.
AVERAGE HEARING
Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information to communicate effectively.
FINGER DEXTERITY
Using primarily just fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together to use office equipment such as phones, computers, scanners, and other office machinery.
REPETITIVE MOTION
Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITIES
Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare and inspect documents, read email and computer screens, and operate office machinery.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH
Sedentary work; sitting at a desk or workstation a majority of work hours. Exerts up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and required to lift up to 25 lbs.
REACHING AND STRETCHING
Reaching and stretching, below the shoulders, to access files, checks, documents, or office equipment on and across shelves, counters, and desks. Work Environment Standard office work environment.
