Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract role supporting a first-grade student as a 1:1 nurse in a vibrant school environment just outside Yorktown, VA. This opportunity is open for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) or Registered Nurses (RNs) with a passion for pediatric care and a commitment to making a meaningful impact in the classroom. In this full-time, ASAP to end-of-school-year assignment, you'll provide individualized care during school hours, ensuring the safety and well-being of a young student who requires tracheostomy and ventilator support. What we're looking for: Current, unrestricted LPN or RN license Experience in a school-based setting preferred Proven expertise with tracheostomy and ventilator care Pediatric experience and comfort working with young children Compassion, professionalism, and excellent communication skills Ability to work full-time hours throughout the remainder of the school year Quick availability for interview and onboarding Role and responsibilities: Deliver direct 1:1 nursing care for a first-grade student during the school day Monitor and manage tracheostomy and ventilator equipment Support daily routines, including medication administration and emergency interventions Collaborate with educational staff and family to promote the student's well-being Maintain thorough documentation of all care provided Serve as a caring advocate and resource for the student within the school setting Don't miss your chance to work in a collaborative educational community where your nursing skills will truly make a difference.
