Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to manage documentation and entry processing for international shipments. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth release of goods through U.S. Customs, with a strong focus on air and ocean freight operations . The ideal candidate will have experience in handling complex import/export clearances and a strong understanding of compliance requirements and logistics procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and process accurate documentation for the customs clearance and release of commercial shipments. Manage end-to-end import/export processes for air and ocean freight , ensuring timely clearance and delivery. Handle shipment classifications, routing, and coordination with airlines, steamship lines, and freight forwarders. Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) regulations, including tariff classifications, PGA filings, and documentation standards. Coordinate with customs brokers, freight carriers, warehouse teams, and clients to facilitate shipments. Process remote entry summaries and in-bond shipments in accordance with regulatory requirements. Monitor and track shipments to proactively resolve any delays or issues. Deliver exceptional customer service by keeping clients informed and addressing inquiries promptly. Maintain accurate records and ensure proper filing of entry documents and shipping data.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in U.S. Customs import/export compliance, preferably with air and ocean shipment processing . Strong understanding of international shipping documents, such as air waybills, bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists. Experience using ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) software or similar import/export systems is preferred. Familiarity with Incoterms, HTS classification, and entry types (including ISF and AMS filing). Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work with urgency in a time-sensitive environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English proficiency of at least 80%). Proven track record of reliability, integrity, and consistent attendance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), email, and general PC-based tools. Willingness to learn and grow within the logistics, trade, and compliance industry. Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
