Import Manager - Licensed Customs Broker (Direct Hire)

Client is seeking a Licensed Customs Broker / Import Manager to join its El Segundo team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional ready to take ownership of import operations while providing leadership, compliance oversight, and client management.

Position OverviewThis role combines hands-on brokerage expertise with oversight of import operations. You will manage key accounts end-to-end while ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and a high level of client service.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage import brokerage operations across multiple accountsOversee full-cycle account management (A-Z), including FDA-regulated shipmentsCoordinate cargo release with carriers, CBP, and other government agenciesEnsure compliance with all U.S. Customs and regulatory requirementsTrack shipments, monitor ETAs, and manage cargo movement and deliveryPrepare and review import documentation, classifications, and CBP filingsProcess and oversee ISF filings and confirm release statusProvide guidance on tariff classification and regulatory changesServe as senior point of contact for clients; maintain strong relationshipsIdentify process improvements and support operational efficiencyMentor and support junior staff as needed
