DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure on time arrivals, customs entry and delivery of shipments to meet customers' demands Receive, review, and process import documentation for each shipment accurately, thoroughly, efficiently while performing all functions within a strict time frame Follow import procedures in accordance with Apex Logistics International's policies and department procedures Ensure a 100% level of compliance with any related government agencies such as local, US domestic and applicable foreign agencies Follow instructions, tasks and take notes while training or reviewing procedures. Expedite transactions and tasks to meet customer expectations and government requirements Provide a high level of service and expertise in all areas of government's regulations including data entry, invoice processing, and document reviews Maintain accurate notes per customer and per shipment. Must review and update notes on a regular basis Provide excellent and timely customer service skills by proactively informing the customers of the status of their shipments, answering questions to the best of your ability and referring clients to the supervisor when necessary Advise supervisor of any delays, problems and/or question any irregularities discovered within assigned transactions. Actively pursue a better understanding of import-export regulations and rules. Adherence to all applicable import-export regulations and rules. Compose routine notes and correspondence with the related parties per shipment basisSCHEDULE
8am- 5pm (Monday
- Friday) OR 7am
- 4pm (Sunday
- Thursday) Overtime support as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
2-3 years of Air Import experience (freight forwarding or airline experience) Bilingual in Chinese, Taiwanese, or Spanish preferred Ability to cover weekend hours as needed High School Diploma or equivalent Strong written and verbal communication skills Willingness to learn new things and company specific procedures Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc..)Job Type:
