As our business continues to grow in scale and complexity, we require the professional services of an Import Associate to support and perform critical import-related functions that ensure the efficiency, compliance, and accuracy of our international logistics operations. The Import Associate will perform analytical and coordination functions to support import transactions for our global clients, including shipment planning, regulatory compliance review, documentation analysis, and coordination with customs authorities, carriers, and overseas partners. The hired individual will be responsible for the following duties:

• Analyze and coordinate clients' international import logistics activities, including shipment schedules, routing plans, and delivery timelines, to ensure efficient and compliant movement of goods across U.S. ports of entry.
• Prepare, review, and verify import documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs entry summaries for entries through air or ocean to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations.
• Conduct regulatory compliance analysis related to FDA, USDA, and other applicable government agency requirements, ensuring imported goods meet all legal and procedural standards.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and overseas suppliers to resolve import issues, address clearance delays, and ensure the timely release of shipments.
• Support duty drawback and customs protest processes by gathering, analyzing, and organizing shipment and entry data required for claims, audits, and post-entry corrections.
• Monitor and evaluate supply chain performance data, identifying discrepancies, delays, or inefficiencies and recommending corrective actions to improve operational effectiveness.
• Maintain and analyze logistics data using Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and XLOOKUP), and Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) software to perform complex data modeling and sensitivity analysis reports for supply chain optimization and support management decision-making.
• Provide analytical support to internal teams and clients, including cost analysis, risk assessment, and compliance evaluations related to international trade operations and supply chain strategy.
• Classify imported goods according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) to determine applicable duty rates and ensure regulatory compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master's degree in supply chain management or a closely related field
• 1 year of work experience coordinating and analyzing a company's logistics schedules involving global customers and suppliers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (using pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP), Microsoft Access, and Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) software.
