The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Air and Ocean Export or freight forwarding experience and is comfortable handling shipments from the initial quote through booking, documentation, departure, billing, and final file closeout. This role requires strong operational knowledge, accurate documentation, responsive customer service, and the ability to solve shipment issues independently. Responsibilities Coordinate international Air and Ocean Export shipments from start to finish. Manage communication with customers, carriers, trucking companies, warehouses, terminals, and other service providers. Request and compare vendor rates and prepare customer pricing and quotations. Prepare and review Air Waybills, Ocean Bills of Lading, shipping instructions, AES/EEI filings, and other required export documents. Ensure shipment documentation is complete and accurate prior to departure. Provide customers with timely shipment updates and respond to operational questions and service requests. Monitor shipment progress and address delays, documentation discrepancies, missed cutoffs, and other operational concerns. Enter shipment, billing, and account information into internal freight forwarding systems. Review vendor invoices and shipment charges and ensure billing information is accurate. Maintain complete shipment files and ensure accounts are properly documented and closed. Coordinate with accounting, branch offices, overseas teams, and internal departments to meet customer and shipment deadlines. Provide day-to-day support and guidance to less experienced export team members when needed. Escalate urgent or complex shipment issues to management as appropriate. Qualifications 5+ years of Air and Ocean Export, freight forwarding, or international logistics experience required. Strong knowledge of end-to-end international export operations. Hands-on experience with AES/EEI filings, AWBs, BOLs, shipping instructions, and export documentation . Experience with vendor pricing, customer quotations, billing, and invoice review. Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and shipments simultaneously. Strong communication and customer service skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability. Comfortable resolving routine operational issues independently. High school diploma or equivalent required. College coursework or a degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is preferred. This is an on-site, primarily office-based role in Torrance with occasional warehouse exposure.
