Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Overview We are seeking an experienced International Export Agent to coordinate international freight shipments from booking through final delivery. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on freight forwarding experience who understands air export, ocean export, international shipping documentation, carrier coordination, and Canada transborder shipments . You will work directly with customers, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure shipments move accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations. The workload consists primarily of Air Export (50%) , followed by Canada Transborder (25%) and Ocean Export (25%) . What You'll Do Manage international shipments from initial booking through final delivery. Handle Air Export, Ocean Export, and Canada Transborder shipments. Coordinate bookings and routing with airlines, steamship lines, trucking companies, and other transportation providers. Prepare and review shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and AES filings . Communicate with customers regarding shipment requirements, documentation, routing, status updates, and delivery. Coordinate with customs brokers and other parties to support timely clearance and movement of freight. Track shipments throughout transit and proactively resolve delays, documentation issues, and other operational problems. Verify shipment information and documentation for accuracy before cargo moves. Maintain complete and accurate shipment records within CargoWise or similar freight forwarding systems . Ensure shipments comply with applicable U.S. Customs, export, and international transportation requirements . Work closely with internal operations teams to meet customer expectations and shipment deadlines. What We're Looking For 2+ years of freight forwarding or international logistics experience. Hands-on experience coordinating Air Export and/or Ocean Export shipments . Knowledge of international freight booking and shipment coordination. Experience preparing and reviewing export documentation . Familiarity with AES filings and export compliance requirements . Experience with Canada cross-border/transborder freight is strongly preferred. Experience using CargoWise or a comparable freight forwarding/TMS platform. Strong understanding of shipment tracking, carrier communication, and exception management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple active shipments and deadlines simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Why Join Us?
