Independently manage assigned accounts and shipments from initial pre-alert through customs clearance, final delivery, billing, and file completion. Coordinate and manage air import shipments from origin through final delivery . Receive and review pre-alerts and shipping documentation , including Air Waybills (AWB), commercial invoices, packing lists, and arrival notices. Track shipments and monitor flight status and cargo arrival to ensure timely processing. Communicate daily with airlines, overseas agents, customers, customs brokers, warehouses, truckers, and other service providers . Send arrival information and required documentation to customs brokers for customs clearance . Monitor customs clearance status and coordinate cargo availability and release. Arrange airport recovery, warehouse transfers, and final delivery once cargo is available and cleared. Request and coordinate delivery appointments when required. Prepare and process shipment files in the company system, ensuring all information and documentation are accurate and complete. Obtain and review freight rates, airline charges, handling fees, trucking costs, and other shipment-related expenses . Prepare customer billing and ensure applicable freight and service charges are properly invoiced . Monitor shipments for potential storage, demurrage, delays, or additional charges and work to resolve issues promptly. Provide customers with regular shipment status updates , including delays, customs issues, cargo availability, and delivery information. Troubleshoot shipment problems such as flight delays, missing documentation, customs holds, cargo discrepancies, or delivery issues . Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation in accordance with company procedures and import requirements. Follow up with customers, vendors, and overseas agents to ensure shipments are completed and files can be properly closed. Provide excellent customer service throughout the entire import process while managing multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously . Requirements & Qualifications Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred No H1B visa sponsorship. You must be eligible to work in the United States. Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish preferred Ability to communicate effectively with customers, overseas agents, vendors, and service providers. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or air imports preferred.
