Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Air Export Specialist with direct, hands-on experience managing international air-freight shipments. This position is responsible for coordinating the complete export process, including carrier selection, booking, routing, documentation, TSA compliance, shipment tracking, and communication with customers and international agents. This is not an entry-level or training opportunity. Candidates must currently possess the required air-export experience. Applicants with only general logistics experience, related experience, or an interest in transitioning into air freight will not be considered. Core Responsibilities Select appropriate airline carriers based on cost, routing, capacity, and required transit times. Negotiate spot rates and secure cargo space with airline carriers. Manage air-export shipments from initial booking through final delivery. Prepare and verify Master and House Air Waybills, including MAWBs and HAWBs. Review commercial invoices, packing lists, and other required export documentation. Complete and submit Electronic Export Information filings. Coordinate pickups, trucking, warehouse drop-offs, and cargo screening. Ensure shipments comply with TSA regulations, aviation-security requirements, and export procedures. Verify shipment details, dimensions, weights, classifications, and routing instructions. Monitor flight schedules, departures, connections, delays, and arrival information. Communicate shipment status and arrival details to customers, consignees, and overseas agents. Proactively provide customers with shipment updates and address service concerns. Resolve flight delays, customs holds, missed connections, documentation discrepancies, and routing changes. Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation within CargoWise or a comparable freight-forwarding system. Work closely with airlines, trucking companies, warehouses, customs brokers, and international offices. Ensure all files are complete, accurate, compliant, and properly closed. Required Qualifications — Firm Requirements A minimum of one to three years of recent, hands-on air-export or international air-freight operations experience. Direct experience booking and routing international air-freight shipments. Experience preparing MAWBs, HAWBs, commercial invoices, packing lists, and EEI filings. Working knowledge of airline routings, Incoterms, export customs compliance, and TSA export regulations. Experience coordinating trucking, warehouse delivery, cargo screening, and international shipment movement. Proficiency with CargoWise or similar freight-forwarding software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word. Ability to independently manage air-export shipments from booking through final delivery. Important Candidate Requirement Only candidates who meet the required air-export qualifications will be considered. General warehouse, domestic transportation, ocean export, import, customer service, or other "closely related" experience does not replace direct air-export operations experience. Associate degree in logistics, supply chain, international business, or a related field is preferred.

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
