Job Description
We are seeking for a dedicated and detail-driven licensed Customs Broker to join our international logistics team. In this role, s/he will deliver excellent customer service while ensuring all import and export activities are handled with accuracy and full compliance with U.S. Customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classify imported goods in accordance with the HTSUS
- Utilize ACE Portal for applicable functions such as AES filings, protests, and other regulatory activities
- Maintain compliance with U.S. customs laws and regulations
- Communicate with CBP and other government agencies (FDA, USDA, etc.)
- Oversee CTPAT procedures and TSA requirements
- Advise clients and internal teams on customs-related matters
- Review and maintain customs documentation and records
- Train and mentor junior operations and import team members
- Stay current with regulatory changes and industry trends
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Active U.S. Customs Broker License (required)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a customs brokerage or freight forwarding role
- Strong knowledge of HTS classification, valuation, and country of origin rules
- Familiarity with ACE Portal, CTPAT, TSA documentation, and other customs software platforms
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills The work schedules can be arranged with the Supervisor.
